Unwind Restriction and Reclaim Movement with Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release at the center for gentle, sustained bodywork to restore ease.

Plus two supportive ways to care for your whole self.

Why I Lead with Myofascial Release (MFR)

Myofascial Release focuses on the fascia, the connective tissue web that surrounds and supports your whole body. Restrictions can arise from accidents, injuries, trauma, scar tissue, posture, and more. With slow, sustained contact (no forcing), tissues can soften and lengthen. Clients often notice decreased pain, increased range of motion, and a return to everyday and recreational activities.

What to Expect

1.

Let the body lead

The body shows us where to work. We collaborate throughout the session.

2.

Gentle and deep release

Attuned touch and pressure invite the fascia to release and unwind at your own pace.

3.

Insight and integration

Checking for shifts in movement and ease; with releases continuing after for as long as two weeks.

How It Helps

Contraindications: MFR is generally contraindicated for malignancy (active cancer), aneurysm, acute rheumatoid arthritis, advanced diabetes, severe osteoporosis, and healing or unstable fractures. If you are unsure, reach out before booking.

Therapeutic Bodywork

At times, the intensity of myofascial release feels like too much, so we pivot. Sessions may blend Craniosacral Therapy, Healing Touch, Reiki, and traditional massage to invite calm, comfort, and whole-person well-being.

When This Service Fits Best

A gentle path when your system needs softness.

These sessions prioritize nervous-system regulation and comfort, meeting you exactly where you are. They can stand alone or serve as a softer alternative to MFR on days you want less intensity.

Grief, loss, divorce, or significant life transitions

When life feels heavy or uncertain, gentle contact helps the body soften instead of brace. Sessions prioritize nervous-system ease so you can breathe, feel, and move through change with more steadiness.

Recovery from substance use

Slow, respectful touch supports reconnection with your body and builds tolerance for safety and calm. We go at your pace, emphasizing consent, boundaries, and co-regulation.

During/after medical treatment

Light, non-forceful work can reduce surface tension, improve rest, and offer comfort alongside your care plan. We’ll adapt positions and pressure and only proceed with your provider’s OK.

Days when you prefer gentle, non-forceful touch

Not every day calls for deeper techniques. These sessions meet you where you are, soothing without “working through”, and invite relief without overwhelm.

Techniques I May Draw From

Tailored, consent-led methods chosen in the moment.

We’ll discuss options and blend only what supports you best that day—always comfort over depth, and you can opt in or out of any technique.

Craniosacral holds

Light contact at the head, sacrum, or along the spine to invite subtle unwinding and a quieter internal tempo.

Healing Touch / Reiki

Hands-on or near-body energy work many describe as warmth or spaciousness; always optional and consent-led.

Soothing massage

Slow, rhythmic strokes to melt surface tension in shoulders, back, and hips, comfort prioritized over depth.

Breath + mindful stillness

Brief cues and restful pauses that help you notice change and settle with no homework, just gentle support.

Wisdom Listening

I use spiritual direction-informed listening skills in most sessions which improves the clients self-connection. Sometimes clients would opt for conversation-only sessions to process relevant life matters. These sessions supported continuity for many during the COVID shutdown and remains available mostly via video or telephone.  Use the contact form to schedule this service.

What to Expect in a Session

Simple, steady structure that lets your wisdom lead.

We’ll co-create the pace and depth; advice is offered only if requested.

1.

Arrive & set intention

Brief check-in to name what’s present and what you’re hoping for without rush or pressure.

2.

Spacious, reflective conversation

Deep listening with silence, gentle prompts, and occasional reframing so you can hear yourself more clearly.

3.

Integration & next steps

Gather what stood out, name any choices or practices you want to carry forward (journaling, breath, rest), and confirm follow-up if helpful.
Note: Sessions are consent-based and confidential within legal limits. This work is not psychotherapy, medical care, or legal/financial advice; referrals are offered if another level of care is needed.

When Listening Serves Best

Touch-free support for times you need to be heard.

This offering provides confidential, spiritually direction with informed listening that honors your beliefs (including secular), your language, and your pace, available in person or via secure video/phone.

Touch isn’t right today

You want care without hands-on work but still need grounded presence and a place to land.

Grief, loss, or major transition

You’re navigating endings, beginnings, or upheaval and need steady, non-fixing support.

Recovery or sobriety

You’re rebuilding trust with your body and choices; you want a calm, judgment-free space to reflect.

Caregiving, chronic illness, or treatment

You’re holding a lot—this offers room to process meaning, fear, and fatigue alongside your medical care.

Clarity & decision-making

You’re sorting next steps and want reflective questions that surface your own inner guidance.

Between hands-on sessions

You want continuity and connection on weeks when bodywork isn’t a fit or you’re traveling.
